Clean Hulls, Smart Ships.

Empowering maritime fleets with autonomous, AI-driven hull inspections.

Reduce fuel costs. Comply with environmental regulations. Own your data.

Biofouling causes a 25–30% increase in fuel consumption, depending on the vessel’s operational profile, and can lead to a 10–15% rise in CO₂ emissions.

Relying on third-party divers results in delays, inconsistent reporting, and limited data. The industry lacks a standardised, scalable solution for efficient hull inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

  • Our semi-autonomous ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) is deployed by the vessel’s crew directly into the water. It is equipped with high-resolution cameras and sensors for navigation, depth monitoring, and obstacle avoidance. Once deployed, it follows a pre-defined or manually guided path along the hull, capturing images and videos of the underwater surface for analysis. The ROV is designed to operate safely in harbor environments with minimal setup and training required.

  • Once the ROV completes its scan, the captured images (typically ~500 per inspection) are uploaded to our cloud platform. There, our trained deep learning model performs image classification and segmentation to detect and categorize biofouling (e.g., algae, barnacles, tubeworms) and assess the state of anti-fouling coatings. The results are compiled into an interactive inspection report, with annotated images, metrics on hull condition, and trend comparisons with past inspections.

  • The platform delivers an automatically generated report after each inspection. This includes:

    • Biofouling severity breakdown by location

    • Clean vs. fouled hull area metrics

    • Paint degradation indicators

    • Annotated image gallery

    • Historical trend analysis

    • Exportable PDF

These insights help technical managers decide when to schedule cleanings, assess paint performance, and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
